Durango Mountain Resort

Besides skiing and snowboarding options for the family, other winter adventures include tubing, dog sledding, Nordic (or cross country) skiing, snowshoeing, sledding, horse-drawn carriages, backcountry skiing, and snowmobiling. There’s also a new terrain park for young snowboarders. Burton Riglet Park, built for children ages 3 - 7, offers Burton’s innovative and fun Learn-to-Ride Technology to get the youngsters off to a strong start in a fun, playground-like setting.
Durango Mountain Resort is located about thirty minutes from the town of Durango your family can find many lodging, restaurant and shopping options. They’re also offering a “Kids Ski Free” package. If you bring your family for three nights’ lodging, three full day lift tickets for mom and dad, the kids ski free.
The instructional program for kids offers them the opportunity to ski with kids their own age and ability, make new friends, and explore the mountain with a professional instructor who can make learning fun. All children 14 and under must wear helmets while enrolled in the school but helmets are included in all kid's lesson packages ages 4-12.
